Thread: (CGY / CAR) - Hanifin, Lindholm for Hamilton, Fox, Ferland

Additionally, if and when the Flames pay him just south of $5mil per season, they will probably not be getting their money's worth.

I'll admit Ferland and Fox were probably irrelevant pieces to the Flames, so Calgary probably got more value from their perspective, but there's no question in my mind that Hamilton easily beats Hanifin and makes up part of the difference between Lindholm and Ferland. Adding Fox likely puts this over the top for Carolina, although we'll have to wait a few years to see how this trade truly grades out.</div></div>

If I’m being honest I wanted bergy home after the kk draft/domi trade

Since then I’ve had complete trust in him I don’t love every move he’s made but I have faith in what he does

I know people get attached to players they like but hockey is a business and I can see this contract preventing Montreal from signing a better free agent in the future.</div></div>

I dont think term is gonna be problem i think hell be fine but its possible he becomes negative by then. even still tho its 100% worth it if thats what it takes
