If it’s a habs fan and they’re including a Leafs trade - you know it’ll be heavily biased against the Leafs… like this one. Guess it’s like their playoffs or something

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GiggywithGibby</b></div><div>Then Zegras is out of the talk, get that through your think skull already. If those assets are off the table, there's no conversation to be had, it's not a matter of how many late 1sts and B prospects you can throw at the problem, any trade would have to revolve around a singular blue chip piece.
We turn it down for the same reason you turn down a hypothetical Caufield trade, because we need more elite talent up front, and we have a plethora of the middle 6 pieces you get with late 1st and 2nd round picks.
And if he's "not that good" stop making ACGMs acquiring him.</div></div>
" we need elite talent upfront " while having carlsson mctavish zegras gauthier terry.. im not saying he's bad, just exposing his game off the puck. and it's the truth, if he doesn't have the puck on his stick, he brings nothing on the ice. Doesn't go in the corners, not implicated defensively, doesn't hit. Is this the type of player you pay that price for?
Comeback in June and tell me why Eiserman fell of so hard. Maybe you will understand.

Don't see Washington as a destination for Kovacevic, as the Caps have too many defensemen already in the system and he wouldn't be able to get playing time in DC. 3rd round pick, to me, is a reasonable price for Kovacevic that a contender would likely pay, just not a fit for Washington.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jded</b></div><div>Then absolutely nothing. Quantity does not equal quality. ANA needs top 6 scoring wingers and #1RD. No amount of late 1sts or Barrons will fill those holes. But moving out Zegras opens up another hole in an area they need even when he’s healthy
If we countered with 2 late firsts and Perreault for Caufield, you taking it?</div></div>
It’s different here. We don’t have McTavish Terry Gauthier or Leo Carlsson. Caufield is just a goal scorer and a shifty talented player. He can’t defend just like Zegras. Value wise, the offer you made for Caufield is fair for someone who’s invisible without the puck. but we wouldn’t take it because we’re weak upfront. Slafkovsky is the only rookie young elite forward we have. When was last time a GM traded 2 firsts ++? He certainly won’t pay that price for someone who’s useless without the puck and can’t do anything else than score. You pay that price for players like Pettersson, not Zegras..
If you want a Potential # 1RD, we have Mailloux who’s KILLING it in his first AHL year.

Ending the Era once and for all
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>habsfan00</b></div><div>Ok sure</div></div>
Rules:
*Unlimited amount of trades
*Teams can go 10% above the cap hit during offseason, if reported players will miss 24 days at least the following season due to injuries, they may be placed on LTIR during offseason. Cap hit, and cap floor is in accordance with the NHL. By game 1 of the year team have to be under the salary cap, and over the salary floor
* For scoring , I created a simulation where it takes into account how a player does IRL, and that'd affect a player in my game. Weekly standings updates, and monthly scoring updates per player will be given to the whole league, so that ppl can see how a player / team is doing, and use that accordingly, to build their team.
*The draft lottery will be from the sim
* Trade Discussion will be taken place on Twitter/ Discord, whichever one you wish
* We will have a draft on discord, where we will post our picks
* Each team will need to create a capfriendly ACGM where they will post their transactions , like trades, and signings, set up lines ect
NOTE: they will need to be updated, and the lines you put on your capfriendly page, will be on your team.
*For Discussing contracts, we have 3 people
Whatever division your team is in, that is the BOG member you will be discussing contracts
Atlantic - Winnipeg
Metro - Nashville
Central - Pittsburgh
Pacific- Me
It will stay like this until we have a permanent Game Agent
*Free Agency you put in your offer to the player agent, and he puts it through a program, and the program will decide where that palyer will choose to go out of all those offers. Like, it all depends, if the player is chasing after money? Or a winning team? Or a spot in the lineup? All that will be decided by the program.
*Trades will not have to be confirmed with BOG, but if there's a lopsided trade, BOG will discuss, which brings us to our next discussion
Bog: Board of Governors will be 3 people, me, and 2 others. We will discuss lopsided trades, vote on things, they will bring issues to my attention, and we will discuss things.
*Anyone who consistently is posting lopsided deals, will be put on BOG watch, which means they have to confirm all their transactions with BOG, 1st.
*Waivers, and buy outs will be the same like IRL.
Each team must have max 23 players on roster. Min 21.
*Player agents will discuss NMC and NTC with players. NMC and NTC in the NHL won't apply to this game.
*All the signings, trades, transactions, will be placed on Discord Sever, which has specified channels for everything.
*No harassing anyone, no doubles, no inappropriate behavior, limit vulgar language.
UPDATE YOUR TEAM PAGES
I believe that's everything

Andrew Ladd was traded to Arizona for two seconds and a 3rd that won’t convey. Ladd had been an AHL player for two straight years. Matt Murray is just a goalie who has had some bad luck and plays for Ottawa lmao

Trade deadline if we cant turn this around
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Habs4ever</b></div><div>I’ve been chewing on the idea of making changes as well. If this is the route taken, then I would add Gallagher and Petry.
I would also give a look to pezzetta and baddock. I learned the hard way that you always need 1 and ideally 2 fourth line wingers that can bang and crash but also drop the gloves once in a while. I’m not talking about goons, that era has passed.
I watch a lot of AHL hockey as I scout and those two are efficient and keep everyone honest. Pezzetta is surprisingly very good on the PK. The question is can one or both transfer their AHL success to the NHL? That’s a good question, that needs an answer.</div></div>
I wouldn’t want Gallagher going anywhere else, ever. If he’s injured, he’s on LTIR and we can replace his salary. If he’s healthy, he’s among the most valuable hockey players in the entire league, everything considered. Anyways, fwiw, that’s my two cents on him.
Pezzetta is my sleeper pick for first call-up as well. Gonna be interesting to see how patient Bergevin ends up being.
I think we will look a lot better once Edmundson stabilizes the top pairing though.

True and also true
But as someone who has died on the hill of "Marner isnt actually bad" Im starting to understand the frustration of leafs fans, were a simple people honestly we just want to watch players work hard and win some games but right now neither is happening
And of course a player making 11 mill that isnt working hard and isnt helping the team win on a night to night basis is only gonna add fuel to the fire
In conclusion when the leafs get to the point where they have to trade Marner its gonna suck seeing him score 100pts for someone else

We did everything in our power to build a strong forward group that can bring the attack in waves, wear out a defense, and poke and prod in different ways to find goals.
Means nothing when you are playing a "defensive" system which relies on a number of sub-par defenders that can't get the puck out of the zone with consistency or control, and don't have lights out goaltending behind them.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>deys3232</b></div><div>This team won't make the playoffs</div></div>
I dont know about that. The Bruins. Their analytics keep falling every year. They have questions in net and on the blue line. Price/Allen combo is the best in the division, they'll be competitive. Weber was awful last regular season, I'm not a huge fan of Chiarot tho.
If Romanov takes a step forward ala McAvoy then this team will be a contender with their depth on the wings. Their top9 is as good as anybody in the division. Their depth carried them to the Cup final and it hasnt changed much in the immediate future. Full season of Caufield and Hoffman will drastically improve their PP which was their big weakness last season. What worries me is the SC hangover ala Dallas Stars.
