Sorokin not really imo but Beauvillier was someone that I did slightly lowball. Could've given him an extra mil and maybe 4 years

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TJTwolf</b></div><div>MacK saying he's willing to take a team friendly deal is somewhat different to any kind of 'pay cut' and he's still going to want a reasonable deal. He's still not going to be less than Rantanen's money even being team friendly. Minimum is likely $10mil per, and that would still be a steal. If he takes less than that then I'd seriously doff my cap to him.</div></div>
Well look at the expiring contracts. Donskoi, Conolly Compher frees up like 11 mil. Also the 6.3 mil from Mackinnon too. So u can pay Mackinnon and Byram and get a slight downgrade in terms of forward depth but you keep your core intact

That's like trading Compher and 3 first rounders. A bit much especually since Columbus doesn't have the leverage

Well I signed the same contract so the trade could work and it represents Dubois' current contract

Gonna lose a lot of players in the offseason. EJ is likely with the Avs til the end of this contract. Graves will likely be gone to Seattle in the expansion draft. If not then you'll be missing one of Compher or Donskoi most likely.</div></div>
Well Mack said he wants a pay-cut and Donskoi takes away 4 mil from the cap space. I'm sure Sakic can pull a Tampa with this roster

The Florida trade is unrealistic because Florida would never take on that bad contract. Borgstrom has shown nothing at the NHL level either, certainly not enough for a defensively oriented 4C role.
Graves gets more than a 2+5 combo. Try something closer to what Toews cost.
Kadri is gonna get more $ than that btw.</div></div>
Well there is only one year left on the Johnson contract so they can acquire him and extend him for less money.

Kane to avs would be Byram or Newhook + young roster player (prob jost, compher, or graves) + at least a 1st this year and maybe another conditional mid round pick that upgrades based on playoff success for the avs. Hawks also probbaly would end up having to take a chunk of salary back (maybe ian cole?) If you want retention then Avs add a sweetner. But none of this really matters because Kane isn't getting traded</div></div>
Well the trade would be on the last year of his contract and yes I can see Colorado adding much more value

It's just a trade example. These trades are concepts. For instance I see them trading Brodie and Muzzin for forward depth and cap relief but those trades can involve any other team
