(NSH/PIT) - Granlund for 2023 2nd RD pick
Absolutely ridiculous trade by the Pittsburgh Penguins. An absolute waste of money on a guy that can’t Back check and whose metrics are absolutely horrendous. Andy cost $5 million and we got no salary retain which is just absolutely mind-boggling for a second round pick.

Overpayment. Over paying doesn't guarantee production.

(ANA/PIT) - Rakell for Aston-Reese, Simon, Clang, 2nd RD pick
VERY GOOD Trade by Pittsburgh and Ron Hextall. Penguins trade away a 750K league minimum guy (age 27) and a $1,725,000 Guy (age 27) who both shoot at the Goalies Chest since day one for a 28 year Old Guy who has scored 339 TOTAL NHL Points of which 154 are Goals of which we need more of. The Second Round pick is a guarantee for a guy like Rakell and Throwing in Goalie Prospect Clang when we don't need him is no big deal at all. THE BEST part is that 35% of RR's Salary is being retained by Anaheim. We NEEDED a TOP 6 Forward who can score and we got one. Some might comment that his points have gone down over the last two season but since he's been on such bad team that can be expected. WE (THE PENGUINS) have just added a player who can absolutely finish and put pucks in the goal and NOT the goalies chest. Sure ZAR is good on the defensive side of the puck but that's because he usually plays on the defensive side of the puck but with some NEW R&R we have finish and speed and legs to ADD to our lineup which is already super strong. Let's Go Pens!!! Nice work management and getting rid of the TWO players that my best friend and I have been begging you to get off our roster. AWESOME!

Pittsburgh Penguins signed Jeff Carter (2 Years / $3,125,000 AAV)
For those that voted NO on this signing they are absolutely clueless of how good Jeff Carter is to a hockey team and he has been nothing but excellent for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Carter still flies on the ice and he is so darn smart and can play 5 on 5 and on the Power Play and the Penalty Kill. Jeff is a terrific leader and he makes everyone around him better. This is a GREAT signing and at his age he should not ba as good as he is BUT he is a stud hockey player. GREAT JOB with this signing.

New Jersey Devils signed Jack Hughes (8 Years / $8,000,000 AAV)
I like the kid but based on his production this is an overpayment by far. They are paying him what they think he might produce which is not smart at this time. It's like Marner all over again.

Ottawa Senators signed Brady Tkachuk (7 Years / $8,205,714 AAV)
I know it's a high price for a young player BUT Ottawa is stoked to just have a young stud and they don't and can't take a chance of loosing him. H e is a first line forward and at 6'4" tall it's a huge player for them at the Center position or Wing. I really like how the team structured the deal because if he does not perform in these next two years at a certain level they will have the option to try and move him before his BIG money kicks in and before his NMC becomes active. Smart move for both sides and he's now a VERY rich 22 year old.

We now drafted two top goalies last draft, have this top goalie prospect, a very suitable backup DeSmith and a you g prospering starter in Jarry. I am very pleased with our goalies. Now work hard and produce dividends.

One of THE best hockey players on the planet. Is proven and still very young. Plays 200 feet and produces everywhere. Is a Champion Champion and will continue to win. He’s one of my favorites hands down. Well deserving and to all the players who get big money without having earned it, look at this guy because he has.

(COL/MIN) - Cole for Pateryn
Terrific trade by Colorado and I completely called this trade a while back. Joe Sakic is extremely smart and calculated and opens up more cap space while making room for Bowen Byram and once he makes the lineup full-time they can trade away Greg Pateryn for a draft pick or some loose change. Great move once again Joe and this ALL stems from the Toews trade that he nailed earlier.
