Crouse to DET
I'd probably do Schmaltz for that, but not Crouse. You can keep Fabbri, or we can eat it. Doesn't matter much to me. McIsaac is probably a lost cause, but it's worth a roll of the dice.

Crouse to DET
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ncwingz</b></div><div>I agree. Crouse would be a great fit on the wings, but would need to have some different pieces to entice a trade. I don’t know the coyote’s organization well, but have read that they need some D signed beyond this year and some possible d prospects too. Would love to hear from Coyotes ACGMs.</div></div>
The value would have to be so laughably in Arizona’s favor to move Crouse, he likes being here and management loves him. Even if you replaced Berggren with a guy like Wallinder it’s not getting done despite that being a great offer

Wings Shopping for a Defenseman
Holy smokes!
When did Walker become Roman Josi?
Bergy and Wallinder?
I don't think so.

Wings Shopping for a Defenseman
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mikearky</b></div><div>A, way to much to give up on a an expiring contract playr, who.is not a top defenseman. Also why does everyone dump on Maatta, he has 15 points but is a plus 18, meaning he isnplaying a solid defensive game. Is he great, no, but he is cheap and he is not a black hole defensively. What they need is a RHD, with some term to replace either Petry or play 3rd pairing minutes without giving up 2 prospects unless he can play top 4 minutes</div></div>
Marcus Pettersson?

Ryan Johansen

Good point, but I wasn't exactly being too serious. I can't see why the Wings would want to claim him tbh. I'm guessing it'll be a buyout and an early outing to the golf courses this year for RyJo. Sad as he seems to be a great team guy by all accounts but he may well be done now.

COL moves Johansen and BUF retains
It's not bad, but I think the Avs value JLF way more then other teams will... I would send a Ben Meyers instead and most other teams probably view him as more NHL ready.

Same thing the other guy said. Having Podz, and raty (both have been showing very good progress) a 1st and 2nd is enough. If we can keep hog then we should. Guys a menace.

Trade Maatta for D Upgrade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jimothy802</b></div><div>What do the Jackets want most in return? young guys who can play in the NHL like Berggren or Veleno, late 20's vet NHLers under contract, or draft picks??</div></div>
The biggest thing is quality. We've got so many NHL young guys (Johnson, Fantilli, Voronkov, Sillinger, Chinakhov, Marchenko, Texier, Boqvist, Jiricek), picks (we're only missing this year's 7th and likely next year's 2nd, plus we have a top-10 pick this year), and we have a smattering of late-20's/early-30's vets (Boone, Gaudreau, Severson, Gudbranson, Kuraly, and Danforth). It just hasn't come together for some reason.
I think the most likely trade scenario is packaging a few guys for an upgrade/pick and just let the young guys develop. Otherwise, hockey trades (like a Johnson for Zegras swap, or Laine for another winger/center of similar age). If we're truly selling a piece like Provorov, we'd just want the highest-value pick coming back we can get. We don't have much to sell and are already the 2nd-youngest team in the league, so I don't think Columbus will be very active until the offseason after we've hired a new GM.

Wings Contract Extensions
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jimothy802</b></div><div>I agree, I'm just saying I think this is what Detroit should be resigning them for and if it's more you are probably looking to trade that player. Sprong might get more than $2.5M but he only plays 12 min a night and scores but hes not being used as a top 6 winger, idk Kane, Perron, amd Ghost have all had relatively big years and could get more on the open market than I would want them to resign for.</div></div>
Someone has got to actually pay sprong and give him more of an opportunity this off-season. This year proves he's no fluke and is a legitimate middle 6 guy. Ghost can go, he scores but he's terrible in his own zone and we need to get guys like Edvinsson in the line up.

Hanifin is not worth it for is in my opinion. We likely miss playoffs and send that 1st to Ottawa, that would make ours a lottery pick. Also, they might get an offer that better suits their needs.
Arizona is not trading Crouse, not worth it for them.
I don't mind selling Perron. Hopefully he gets a 2nd back from some team.
Hell no on Labanc, not worth it at all.
Don't see Seattle having much interest in Gost with Schultz and Dunn there. Heck no to Driedger.
No need for Kubalik, he isn't what this team is missing.
Selling Reimer is fine.

Matthews to Coyotes at Draft
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>evelutions2</b></div><div>So the Yotes give up 4 future core members, as well as Crouse, just to bring in Matthews? They will wait until his current contract is up instead.</div></div>
This almost never works out and people have to stop assuming that elite players are just going to walk in FA because they don't like giving up assets in a trade.
