I've seen a lot of Buffalo ACGMs that desire Swayman. If you're counting on Levi, Comrie, and UPL as your goaltending equation then I suspect the Buffalo playoff drought continues.

This is very tempting, tbh. If Meier does not go above 8,5 on 8 yrs deal, I would really really consider that.

Noooooooooo!! He just turned 26 a few months ago, so if they trade and sign him to a extension. He will barely be 27 when that extension kicks in. He would be a good get, No I would not like to lose JJ, but Kulich will ease that pain a bit.

Do you know Claude Lemieux? And especially his history with BUF? No way he takes $1.5mm less. Cap is going way up. Meier is a great player. Why would he take an underpay when he has ZERO reason to do so? Explain.</div></div>
Too much youth. Quinn, Peterka, Cozens, Krebs, Ostlund, Kulich, Savoie, Rosen. If you trade any single one of the last 5 and a pick, your prospect pool barely takes a hit and you’re getting a point per game player. It’s a no brainer . Idk what you’re on about.
Because there’s no wingers making that much. Pastrnak is gonna get around 10-10.5 ish and Meier is not better than him. Meier’s comparable is probably around 8.5-9. No way he gets more than that

Matty
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Matty2005</b></div><div>Columbus is tanking remember I don’t think they would mind that for 5 million in free cap space and a better chance for Berdard
And the Larkin trade I’m trading you a at least 50 point player in dube a okay role player in Coleman ( not worth his contract) but whatever and a good prospect in matty Phillips yeah sure maybe a first not this year tho if I’m giving up a first with that then it’s a 24 first or two seconds</div></div>
Taking on the Lucic contract means they have to pay the player whatever remains for the season. It's not about cap space at this point, its about paying a player you don't need/want. They wouldn't willingly do you a favour for free.
Philips is 24 (6th round player, by the way) with 3 NHL games played total, he's not a "good prospect", he's a player that can barely crack an NHL roster.
Similar situation with Duehr.
Dube's career high is 32pts. No idea where you think he's a 50pt player.
DET doesn't even consider ANY Larkin trade unless it's a 1st+

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>I don’t agree for a couple reasons:
Him and skinner have 5 years left.
But :
The cap is gonna jump to 95 mill ish with 3-4 years
Guys like Savoie will still be on an ELC in 4 years .
Guys that expire in 2 years can still be bridged till those contracts expire.</div></div>
There’s no promises the cap will jump that much and if it does those guys I mentioned will eat up a lot of it. They showed faith in power by burning a year last year. It would only work if all those guys took mild discounts based upon current trajectory. This doesn’t even take into consideration that UPL (or some other goalie) will be getting paid during that time as well. Gotta show faith in the team and reward them with decent goaltending, either from within or out the org. To me, it’s an improper use of space/assets. I’ll agree could be very entertaining to watch though.

Leafs trade possibility
from the outside: it's hard for me to think of the Sabres being interested in a package that's focused on futures. Simmonds/4th/5th absolutely does not get it done - both because it's just not enough value, but also to me because the picks aren't as important to Buffalo as they might've been a few seasons ago. Look at their CF page - they've already got Peterka, Quinn, Krebs, Cozens, & Power as NHLers on their ELCs, with a ton of guys like Ostlund, Savoie, Rosen, and how many others ready to go behind them. They don't *need* more picks or prospects - if they're moving guys off their NHL roster, it's going to be to fill a different hole on the NHL team.

Definitely interesting, Dahlin seems to play better on the Right. Don't know if I would take Samuelsson away from him. Samuelsson is the Glue back there and the numbers prove it.

Seems like it would be redundant for BUF as it was with Burns and Karlsson being on the same team.

Trade Deadline deals
In what world does Buffalo trade away their recently picked 14th overall prospect and a 3rd for Tyler Myers? Lol. No way Nashville does that, Miller and Boeser are both negative value-contracts. Why would Vancouver do the Pittsburgh trade? Vegas absolutely shouldn’t make that trade. San Jose laughs at that offer, their best prospect, 7th overall and the rightful Norris-leader for Ekman-Larsson and Klimovich?!? Maybe Isles do that trade with an agreed extension, two 2nds are more likely though.

I wouldn't go this far. He's still a starter on a bad team, but I don't think he falls into the elite category anymore. We can be certain with the way NHL gms work, there are a few that would pay a good bit to have him on their team. One thing I know for fact is that this package is far too much.
