Fair enough, I don't know much about the Sharks system. I would trade Holl to any team that can offer a 3rd which seems to be about his value on here anyways.

Have to agree here, you’re going to have to give up a good piece with Mrazek to get rid of him. A 2nd might do it, i personally think a buyout is the best option, would only cost them about 1 million for the next few years.

Yah that could be true, my only thought would be they might want the already established elite FWD in Fiala over the potential of Holtz who may take a season or two. I do think MIN would have to add a bit more because they don't have much leverage with their cap space.

Kane should be getting closer to 6.5-7.5M x 4/5 imo. Also Mrazek is gonna probably cost at least a 3rd and maybe a later pick to move that contract, I think a buyout is the smarter option.

Love this Fiala for Holtz type trade for both teams. Holtz is going to be a very good player imo, having an NHL ready prospect like him on his ELC for the next 3 years is exactly what Minnesota needs. Fiala seems like a perfect fit in New Jersey with all their young forwards and fellow countryman Nico Hischier.

Thats your first take away from this lol he traded the 2nd overall pick for Conor Garland.

In 2 seasons he's your Kaprizov center.</div></div>
Very fair but in 2 years Rossi could be your Kaprizov center and you could have Alexander Holtz on his other wing. Not sure New Jersey wants to get rid of their top prospect in Holtz but if they are willing to part ways with him I would personally take that deal.

Fiala for 2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IcemanJoe</b></div><div>Oh gotcha, yeah Holtz and a pick or two evens it out. I’m in the camp that doesn’t think this was Fiala’s career year. I see more potential in him. He put up 85 points with a rookie and 3/4th line C.</div></div>
Yah I would love to see Fiala continue to grow or even continue at a PPG pace but this Holtz kid is going to be a stud. I recommend watching his highlights with Lucas Raymond at the World Juniors a few years back, had 51 points in 52 AHL games in his first year on North American ice. I'd say he would be one of the very early favourites for the Calder next year.

I think he has the potential to be the Kevin Fiala from this past season, a career year for Fiala no promise he keeps up that pace. I wouldn't trade him 1 for 1 anyways would be Holtz and a couple picks probably.

I can't see New Jersey giving up Mercer, definitely not Holtz imo. Fiala and Addison or Fiala and a late 2nd early 3rd is probably more realistic.

Insane to think the Leafs would move Knies or a first to get rid of Mrazek when they could just as easily buy him out without losing any assets.

I wish that you Toronto guys would stop doing this. It's like the Montreal guys with their silly Jeff-Petry-to-Detroit trades.
For the record, here are the figures for Edler and Muzzin:
Alex Edler, 41 games, 3 goals, 19 points, +18, 52.1 Corsi, 54.4 Fenwick, would not cost more than $3.5 million to sign for one year.
Jake Muzzin, 47 games, 3 goals, 14 points, -6 , 48.1 Corsi, 47.9 Fenwick, cap hit of $5.625 million for two years.</div></div>

Yah wasn't sure how much it would take to get Foligno but it seems like he could be the odd man out in Minnesota. I would honestly trade the Leafs 1st this year for him but Minnesota might not have much leverage since they need to move cap. I think two 2nds would get a deal done.

Rumors of Muzzin to LA were talked about over the last couple days, they have been looking for a veteran Dman and the Leafs need cap space. Would make sense since LA has an abundance of RHD.
