Krieder to FLA

I'd rather have a prospect than Acciari. As I responded to someone else, his shooting percentage is an absurd 24.7%. His career shooting percentage before this season was 8.7%. I'm not interested in a 28 year old career 4th liner who's having a lucky season.

Krieder to FLA
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DoubleADoubleK</b></div><div>Borgstrom is looking like a bust, not a top prospect. Even trades: Borgstrom for Lias. Kreider for decent 1st. Yet we want a good prospect for Kreider more than picks. Tippett or Noel are the targets</div></div>
I don't think Borgstrom for Lias is even. Borgstrom has out produced Lias at both the NHL and AHL levels.
As for targeting Tippett, I think FLA would hang on to him because they will probably lose one of Dadonov/Hoffman this offseason, and Tippett could replace the one they lose.
For Acciari, yea he has 18 goals, but only 3 assists for 21 pts in 46 games. His shooting percentage is an absurd 24.7. His career shooting percentage before this season was 8.7%. I'm not interested in a 28 year old career 4th liner who's having a lucky season.

Krieder to FLA
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rja</b></div><div>A) FLA likely rejects; if a first is coming back for Kreider, not much else will be coming back with it.
B) If FLA wants to make a trade they will have to send back a decent chunk of salary to the other team to stay cap compliant.</div></div>
Any short term contracts FLA would part with to make them cap compliant? Pysyk maybe?
I think Kreider is going to go for a 1st and a prospect. I'd look at the Kevin Hayes trade last deadline for a comparable.

Mango trade for georgiev
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Trevorchef</b></div><div>As a Leafs fan, I would make this trade. I know that won't be the popular opinion but it is a good move for both sides. The only thing that I would add would be Hutchinson to the deal and a lower round pick, (4th or lower), coming back to the Leafs.
If it were this...
<strong>To NYR: </strong>Hutchinson + Johnsson
<strong>To TOR:</strong> Georgiev + 4th
I would do it right now and drive AJ to the airport.</div></div>
If you add Hutch, the Leafs would need to add a pick, not the Rangers. He has negative value.

Why would Calgary want Jones over Rittich? Rittich has outplayed Jones the past 2 years and costs less that half of Jones. Jones has negative worth right now

trade with NYR
I don't TOR is giving up enough in the NYR trade. Georgie for Bracco and a pick has been thrown around a lot. Ceci is a negative in the deal, so it's basically Kreider and Lias for Johnsson. You'd have to throw in a least a 1st

Georgiev is a "throw in"?!?!?! Are you serious? He keeps improving and could end up being a starter in this league for a long time.
This trade is absolutely horrible for the Rangers. They get spare parts and questions marks for 3 NHL players.

The only guys I'd be interested in are their top young guys. Dahlin, Jokiharju, Olofsson, etc., but they're probably untouchable from Buffalo's perspective. I simply wouldn't do a deal with them

Your idea = bad idea. This team has been focusing on getting younger and growing with the kids. Instead, you ship off a bunch of talented ones for a declining Getzlaf to maybe make the playoffs this year or next.

(OTT/NYR) - Ebert for Namestnikov

Gives us some more flexibility cap wise for this season. Now we can give his roster spot to someone better and more deserving, rather than having to showcase Names, who was brutal so far (and demoted to the 4th line/bench in both games).
Rangers management has set playoffs as the goal for this season. Names was not making this team better.

(OTT/NYR) - Ebert for Namestnikov
I feel like a lot of the people saying the Sens won this trade haven't watched Names play recently or think of him with the Lightning, with Stamkos and Kucherov as linemates...
Names has been consistently bad for the Rangers ever since they got him. Plugging him into the 2nd line of the Sens might get him a couple more points, but any GM would be a fool to ignore his recent history. If he goes to a contender, he'll be bottom 6 again and produce nothing, while being ok on the defensive side of the puck.
Honestly, I'm surprised the Rangers didn't have to give away an incentive pick to be rid of Names. For that reason alone, the Rangers won this trade.

Wow, this is the kind of deal you wish your young stars are willing to sign. If he took a bridge deal, he could have become a 10M/year kind of guy for his next contract.
This contract could be a steal in just a couple years.

Smith will get get sent down to the AHL; as should McKegg. That will give the Rangers another 1.7M or so. They'll have the space to sign DeAngelo, but I do think they should move Namestnikov.

If the Rangers had more cap space I could've seen him getting 2x1.5M or 3x2-2.5M, but this is pretty much all they could afford as it stands now. Tony D hopefully signs soon too
