As much as I would love to move Foligno, he is not waiving his NTC to go to Vancouver.

I'd pass for Detroit. Give Zadina a little more time. Hopefully he finds chemistry with Vrana and hopefully a center upgrade.

2022 MIN 1st round pick
Carson Lambos
Vancouver's choice of Greenway or a 2023 MIN 2nd round pick (I think we'd prefer the pick, but Greenway likely has to be moved in the offseason for cap purposes)
:wild
JT Miller (ideally with at least $1M in retention)
Rangers or another team might be able to make a better offer.</div></div>
Depending on the extension that Greenway is looking for, in both AAV and term, he could be an interesting addition to the Canuck's core moving forward and make Jim Rutherford's job difficult if the Rangers submit a similar offer (2022 1st + Lundkvist + Othmann?).

The only reason Columbus would have interest in Boeser is in a Laine for Boeser swap or after Laine is traded, but currently there shouldn’t be much interest from a Columbus standpoint. Honestly Columbus has too many wings already, they should have a lot more interest in Horvat or Miller at the right price, but they are also mid rebuild and could just wait for Miller to be a UFA to try and sign him to come home.

blowing it up again
Since you're getting roasted, I thought I'd pop in and say that I thought this was really well done. All of these seem relatively realistic, and this would leave you with pieces that could help the team start to turn around by next year. If everything went well Debrusk-Chytil-Hoglander doesn't look like a bad 2nd line. The defense still needs work, but that's nothing new, and Schneider helps a bit with that. In net you hope that Spencer Martin can continue to play like he did in his 2 game sample size this year. Also gives you some cap flexibility to make more additions in the offseason.

Per the Cold Stove Podcast with NRD JT Miller to NYR is highly unlikely.

I think we need to be seeking more value if we are retaining 50% of Miller's contract next season. The argument could be made that he is producing like an $8M player and to get him for $2.5M is a game-changer for any contender. Rangers and their fans seem higher on Schneider than Lundkvist so I think Lundkvist + 1st + 2nd + 4th is an acceptable package if we are retaining.

83.5M, it will essentially go up 1M each year until escrow is paid off.

This is what Boston fans do for all their trades. It's always the same package of crappy prospects and a 1st.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TanSor</b></div><div>Agree on Motte. I don't think Fiala + 2nd + 3rd is completely terrible for Miller. It's a bit of an overpayment (Miller is a better player than Fiala), but Miller's versatility to play center, playoff resume, and faceoff ability are worth the upgrade IMO. I wouldn't love that deal (without Motte), but I don't hate it.</div></div>
Motte is a really good bottom 6 player. We would be happy to keep him. If you need energy, pk ability, he's an asset.

Nothing against Motte, we are just bursting at the seams with bottom 6 forwards

Rangers wont trade Schneider. They also seem determined to try to get Strome resigned, making a trade for Horvat moot.

From Colorado: Barron, Kaut, 1st. Or Helleson, Olausson, 1st. Both need retention or it may not be worth it for the Avs.

Then you have to add something else of his value, debrusk has very little value right now maybe a 3rd rounder or so and that with a first doesn’t get Miller

Milano - don’t think he is available
Manson - 1st in 2022
- 50% retained ($2,050,000)
- add a pick or prospect possibly
- open to a cap dump possibly as well

Engvall - 5th round pick (ish)
Holl - probably a 3rd (ish. I could see him getting a 2nd or better depending on the team)
Kerfoot - not up for trade unless we’re upgrading. He’s been great this year.
Dermott - rather trade Holl, but probably a 3rd or so.

next year with a drouin trade
I think that is pretty fair for Drouin to be completely honest, if not an overpay. He's been a rare bright spot on an awful Habs team but unfortunately got hurt right when he began to heat up.
