Deadline moves
Petry trade seems heavily weighted to MTL, AVs deal might be fair but MTL should get more. The Thompson one seems fair. Kovy we'll see if he keeps it up to the deadline, but yeah that could happen.

Frolik Puljujarvi vs cap space
CGY accepts as it allows them to sign Tkachuk before camp
EDM Accepts but if anyone argues just make it a 2021 3rd to become a 2022 conditional 3rd that becomes a 2nd if Puljujarvi is still playing for the Habs 3 years out just before he turns UFA
Frolik is a poor mans replacement for Shaw but i really like the idea of Frolik creating havoc infront of the net for Domi just the same as Shaw did as thats what we need right now regardless of their point average .
Puljujarvi should be loaned out to Jokerit's KHL team like WPG did
he'll need a year or 2 where he can be the #1 RW and he wont get that in the NHL or AHL here and will just be developed as a 3rd line stringer .
sending him to the KHL has the added upside of buying Suzuki time to establish himself here as development wise he's way ahead of JP who has scored
less in more games then Hudon who had an epicly bad sophmore year but is still ahead of JP

Opening night night if Marner has not signed
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SammyT_51</b></div><div>They still have Matthews, Tavares, Nylander, Kerfoot, Kapanen, Johnsson, Dermott, Rielly, Muzzin and Barrie. They are great team with and without Marner. Hopefully Marner is there for a whole year, but if not, they are fine.</div></div>
hes MTL fan....no need to discuss with reasonable arguments....

Opening night night if Marner has not signed
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>xNogaitx</b></div><div>This roster does not make the playoffs with the strengthening of the Atlantic. Heck, they are a single injury to Andersen away to be not even in the conversation for a WC spot.</div></div>
Just the fact they are missing three regular Dmen from last year....Gardiner, Zaitsev and Hainsey....and injured Dermot makes four.....and only two NHL replacements Barrie and Harpur shows that the Leafs are very shaky footing if we are talking playoffs.
My guess is Marincin can be OK if given regular minutes and the Leafs are hoping for Harpur or Holl becoming NHL good, But all those hope thet Dermot returns and everything is OK is kind far fetched. Just as easily could be another Dman injury and where are the Leafs then?
Last season the Leafs were on a 120 point pace by December 1st. They finished with 100 points and made the playoffs by four points. Hardly a lock for the playoffs at all this season.

Backes for Alzner Reilly for Frolik
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>xNogaitx</b></div><div>I did entertain the possibility of a higher pick. But I don't think Calgary fans would like it all that much. But that'd probably be an amazing return if the Habs could pull this off:
Calgary:
Reilly (Retained $400,000 by the Habs, meaning that if he doesn't work for the team, they can bury him in full in the AHL. for this year and next.)
WPG's 2020 4th rd pick
Montreal:
Frolik
CLG's 2020 2nd rd pick
That would effectively clear up almost $3.7M off of Calgary's salary cap.
Then at the TDL, Montreal goes and trade Frolik for another 2020 2nd rd pick by retaining half of his salary for the remainder of the season. (Meaning, Reilly, cap space, & WPG's 4th rd pick become 2 2nd round picks)</div></div>
I like it. And if that’s not enough, maybe the habs can throw in someone like Hudon as a project for the Flames.

(MTL/LAK) - 4th round pick for Thompson and 5th round pick
4th for Thompson would've been fair. But Bergy managed to squeeze a 5th out of this trade. So basically we get a 4th line center with decent defensive abilities and good faceoff % and we drop about 20 spots in the draft. It's not bad.

When Weise was put on waivers JAN 15th after Schlemko Jan 7th, many Habs fans (4-5) suggested a Weise-Schlemko trade on Armchair-GM.
There was a lot of bashing on Habs fans: "Philly would never do that! Keep your trash! ".
