I see a lot of "expert" (francois gagnon) saying that missing the playoff for a third straigh year would be a disaster. My question for you ? Does a playoff spot and a first round exit would make you that much happier ? Is making the playoff the ABSOLUTE goal for the team ? For me, the progress of our young core (domi,kk,drouin,mete,julsenn,poehling,fleury,suzuki etc) IS THE priority. What if the MTL makes the playoff ? Good, these young player will gain experience. What if they dont ? Well, too bad but we will still be in a good position in term of draft,cap space,players progress,prospect pool. I want to know your thoughts, you habs fans, does making the playoff/or not will be the factor that allowed you to judge the sucess of the season 2019-2020 ?

Leafs fan here. Missing the playoffs is key for you guys. A first round exit doesnt do anything to help the rebuild but get a higher pick. They habs dont have to be bad, but better to be getting a 10-18 pick then a 18 to 24 pick. it also gives a year to rid yourself of contracts that you dont want. Even allows you to trade pieces you dont think would be a key part of the future like Shaw

Francois Gagnon est ****ing attarder, le pire journaliste avec JIC Renaud Lavoie. Sa chiale pour rien, pi Bergevin va suivre son plan de reset pi Molson le crissera pas dehors si on rate les playoffs cette annee.

True! I truly hope that we are gonna be in the bottom of the league next year like 2017-2018! Hard for the ego, but look at what the Maples Leafs had with this thought --> Matthews, Marner
