They could just walk away from Ceci who is not officially signed and move him for pick, match that offer (if it ever happens which it wont!) and I will on your place enjoy some of your guys in their last seasons in NHL in Vancouver.

The only saving grace being an Oilers fan this season is knowing that the Canucks have no other option but to run a $10.375M combination of Sutter, Roussel, and Beagle in their bottom six. You can't just LTIR a guy for free these days. League pays too much attention after Chicago fluked into Hossa needing to effectively retire.

No they can't. Ceci was qualified by Ottawa already. It could go to arbitration, but it won't. They only way the Leafs could walk away from it is if it goes to arbitration and they don't like the number. That won't happen in this case.

fire every GM into the sun if they let the Leafs sign Kerfoot to a $3M deal. put pressure on the Leafs! they are vulnerable!
