Description

Friedman: "And I think Carolina is willing to give them one of their prospects, maybe a guy like Gauthier, but is not so interested in giving the pick. I think Tampa Bay, they've flirted with back and forth, they kinda know which Tampa prospect they might be able to get, but again I think it's a combination of finding the two things that they want: pick + prospect"

Now the problem would be: Verhaeghe has to either be on the team or be traded (as he has to go through waivers to be sent down)... and I doubt we'd keep the leading AHL scorer as 13th. Who gets moved?

Well the paper fit is there .
6'4" over 200 lbs .. #4 overall pick .. nordic background etc. Etc.. but of course hasn't proved he top 6 winger like his "potential" (Sergachev dig ..lol)

But say give Oilers Joseph and a Cruncher .. or Cruncher and Rutta? .. worth a flyer like Shatterkirk

Witkowski can go down to minors. Trade Paquette to Oilers with Joseph instead of Katchouk. Move Gourde up to Stamkos line and get his points up to trade him high on next offseason. Move Verhaghe to Paquette's spot on 4th line for now. And open up roster spot for the next best prospect. Done.

The price is prospect + pick. So it won't be Rutta (can't we just shoot him on the sun for a 6th rounder? lol We already got our 7 Dmen for the season).

My guess would be that it's one of Katchouk, Raddysh or Verhaeghe + a mid pick (if it's Katchouk a 3rd, if Raddysh or Verhaeghe a 4th).
We'll see.

Please god no. The last thing Tampa ******* needs is someone to gift wrap them a former 4th overall pick that completely rejuvenates his career due to being placed in incredible environment to succeed.

In fact, the badly run teams need to stop doing business with Tampa altogether. Stop making the already All Star team even better please and thank you.
