Ottawa is probably willing to make a trade after Loui received his signing bonus next year. Will cost VAN a 2021 1st though

Bah. DET has already 4 Sutter-equivalents in their team (Filppula, Helm, Nielsen, Glendening). Sutter is completely unnecessary, and they are not spending assets for him.

Goldobin's AHL player, doesn't bring any kind of value to the trade...

So essentially you are asking to eat 9.5 million in a Sutter's deal for 25 year old prospect who is middling at best in the AHL and you want a 3rd round pick. No, Stevie has stated that he wants to build THRU THE DRAFT and sign FA where and when needed. Not take on other teams cap for his own picks.

Sutter is in no way, at 31 years old , worth over 4 million. NG was tossed in but he really adds nothing t this trade.

If the Canucks want to rid themselves of guys like Louii and Sutter then they will pay with young prospects and/or picks. Not mid level AHL'ers and expecting something back.

Mikearky. I know it's hard to do math these days. But Sutters cap hit is 4.375. Times 1. which still is, 4.375. Where you got 9.5 million from even if you for some reason think he's got 2 years left is beyond me.

As for the other comments. The Sutter trade might go somewhere else. Maybe for a lower pick, sure. I know (not think) that Sutter has value despite everyone's opinion otherwise. If it's a 4th then okay. Goldobin doesn't add anything and I never thought otherwise.

Anaheim loves players like Myers. They like em big. They probably have Chara posters on their walls at home. Considering his term compared to Mansons I think that deal is very plausible.

WellDK We're not trading the 2021 first. I'd rather try to deal with Seattle in another year.
