I honestly doubt it.
They could certainly make a move up the standings, but this doesn't take into account the fact that other teams in the Pacific are likely to make moves to try to improve as well.
Vegas-Still has a good feeder system, and they're very deep up front. Add another d-man and they become even better.
Oilers-Still relatively young, and have a solid foundation. Should have some room to add some depth if the cap jumps as expected.
Flames-Better than most give them credit for. Losing a couple of d-men in the summer, but have young talent in the minors to fill those holes.
Canucks-Already really good, imagine what they could do if they shed the Loui contract, and use that money to add.
Yotes-Probably poised to drop a bit unless they can keep Hall. Add a 2C in there, and they probably maintain.
Ducks-Lots of young talent developing, very similar to LA. Add a solid top 4 RD and they could be sneaky. Also, John Gibson=GOAT.
Sharks-If they're this bad right now, it's going to be tough for them to get much better. Lots of old guys, but Hertl/Meier will keep them afloat, but there's so much money invested in older guys, plus they have an overpaid starter signed long term that's a sieve.
I could see you jumping up and at least being competitive, but to say that they have a chance for the playoffs is a stretch. Do Walker and Roy regress? At least you have cap space to make an addition or two.
