I had to send like 30 guys with NHL experience down... Ig that's what happens when 3/4 of your team is injured... Speaking of injuries, I think Murray is a capable top 4 LHD, but he'll just spend 40 games on it, so that's where I put him, but when he's healthy, that's a nasty defense (even those Jones is insanely overrated) and that's why I didn't trade him... Can a team depend on him to be a top 4 d man every night, do you want to risk it, maybe, but if he gets hurt and you don't have a backup plan... But if a team doesn't need a top 4 LHD I feel like he just gets stuck in the same position as he is in CBJ

On the lines, just run the first line hard, Bjorkstrand really came into his own this year as an elite (depending on your definition of "elite"... I tend to be more lenient) PLD is solid (MTL are you really gonna os another guy this off-season, ik Bergevin you think your biceps are scary... But come on man, they aren't that scary... I don't think...) And goose is just consistent, he flew under the radar last year, but was a very solid UFA pickup, I wanted to keep tex and Bemmy apart... Idk ik they both played a ton this yr, I still tend to keep young kids split up, and if you don't like Lilja at the 12th forward spot play Sherwood or Robinson... There's tons of options

Also what's happening with Dubinsky ik he didn't play at all this yr, but I far something where he couldn't go on LTIR, that's really what's stopping me from making this team make a move (and the fact that I don't think people would like a Murray to PIT trade... That's the one team I could see getting good value out of him)

That Gavrikov contract seems quite high.

This is a team I can't see nothing happening with. Their defensive depth means somebody has to go. CBJ needs to decide who. The chances of there being no defense moves are smaller than my house getting hit by an asteroid tonight.

Same story for Anderson. He might not "have" to be moved, but he should. He's either preventing a prospect or a UFA signing from helping the team.

Also don't forget about Grigorenko

Low key hope we dont sign Lilja back unless he plays mostly in Cleveland. I thought he was our worst skater most nights and guys like Stenlund, Robinson, Shore, and maybe even Sherwood deserve more of a chance. And that's assuming we dont acquire anybody else.

A few things.

1) you’re wrong and you’re also right on Jones. You’re right that his advanced stats suck, but he is a top pair guy you can trust. The fact that his whole team was injured brought down his stats and when alone playing the other teams top line each night it doesn’t always go well.

2) Lines aren’t very good offensively. Texier experiment failed at center and he played LW most of the time last year. Jenner is a better center, Atkinson plays the right side most of the time. Defensively if Murray is healthy he’s 3rd pair LD with Nuttivaara. Harrington is the waiver wire guy as Kukan is better then Harrington is. Lilja was a fail this year Gerbe, Robinson, Stenlund and Sherwood were all better then he was. Last thing on lines is that Foudy is likely to make the team next year. He showed really well the few games he got to play this year.

3) Anderson is likely gone and there’s a 0% chance he signs for 2 year in Columbus. He’ll take a 1 year deal and capitalize on being a UFA. He just wants to get paid. Doesn’t care who does it and Columbus can only hold his right for 1 more year.

4) Dubinsky. He was supposed to return this season, but Jarmo came out last week and said everyone is progressing besides Dubinsky and it seems he has a chronic wrist injury. Ie his career is likely over.

5) last thing- you’re missing Grigoranko. He agreed to a 1 year 1.2 mil contract last week that the NHL won’t let us file until July 1st.

Overall not too bad though.

I think any CBJ line up that doesn't count on Foudy playing is offbase.

This team has no issues playing 19 year olds. And it serves them well when they do.

Grigoranko I don't know, I guess we'll see. I don't have any real expectations there given what he did previously. He was a 20pt player then. He'll probably be a 4th liner.

As for Anderson, no one is going to pay him big money after last year. He'll sign with term for security. He might view himself as being worth Tom Wilson money, but Wilson never got hurt.
I think that's the ceiling for him to be honest. The floor is probably 2.1 million.
My guess is he takes 3-4 range with term. It's about financial security.
He won't get more than that on the open market after last year and if he has another bad year, it will be a marked decline.
