Description
Buffalo adherents who think the Sabres should be getting more can add anything from the Ottawa 5th to the Pittsburgh 3rd, or a suitable prospect.

If Tyler Johnson refuses to waive his absolute NTC, other stopgap centres are available in free agency. San Jose fans have already accepted this trade in a companion post. I think that it makes a lot of sense for Tampa in their current cap situation, but if Lightning fans demur, they can also add a mid-range 2021 pick (3rd to 5th).

The Sharks' first four draft picks are shown in the LTIR. (Tyson Foerster and Kasper Simontaival might also be available at #34, but I went with Papi.)

I'm not 100% sure BUF would move that pick for Hertl.

I'd make an even bigger deal with them...

2020 1st, Okposo (major cap dump) and Middlestadt for Hertl or something along those lines

Fast, Chmelevski, Kellman, Gregor, Merkley, Rossi, Peterka . . . plus futures like the Russian guy whose name I can't pronounce and Faber after a couple of years at the U of Minn

Why not move out all your old players though? Otherwise this is just a retool.

I would take on Okposo if I could buy out Vlasic and net another million in cap space. I wonder if they would do Karlsson for Okposo and Ristolainen?
