Reshaping the core

As many on here know, I don't love this trade. Domi's style of play is everything I love in a player but the fact he has only had 1 year of brilliance concerns me considering Brodin has gotten better every single year.

Conditional 2020 3rd round pick (for salary retention): The Wild receive the later of the two 3rd round picks Tampa owns

Tampa needs to shed salary and even after this trade I think they still need to move a winger (likely Killorn since he doesn't have a NTC yet) which in turn means they will need to fill some holes in their lineup. Enter Staal and Donato, two extremely cheap players after the salary retention who can provide value way over the cap that will count for. Donato was on pace for 18.5 goals averaging 10 minutes a night and Staal was on pace for 58 points (which would be incredible for a $1.625M cap hit). Oh and not to mention they get the 11th overall pick which will soon provide a cheap ELC player when they need to pay Point.
