What does MTL gain from this trade? This is weak. Kunin < Domi. A 2nd adds little value to MTL.

Guy was their #1C just last year and one of the few guys who have topped 70 pts for MTL over the past 20 years.

I guess the Wild have to analyze what the upside of both players are. This season....Domi 44 points in 71 games. The younger Kunin 31 points in 63 games. Is Domi worth the extra cap and the pick difference as suggested in the trade? Or is Domi a 60 to 75 point player as he was two seasons ago. Wild needs a centre not a left winger...can Domi be an effective centre?

They have experimented him at C. How much success? Not quite sure. Domi likely is more of the 65-70 point player from two seasons ago, so Habs may not do it. I think the only upside is the upgrade in picks and the saved cap space.

Great, he will never hit 70 again. And no point in keeping him with Kotkaniemi and Suzuki
