Description
Assumes that one of the 6 who are out go on LTIR. I've chosen Toews as his appeared to be pretty serious, though Calvert could easily be out all year if it's concussion related and Bellemare's looked bad too. With some juggling, everybody can be fitted under the cap later. Not sure on what TOR would want for Campbell or if they'd risk going to Hutchinson as the backup. Would probably be worth throwing a prospect in as well though if it made it work. Edit: Added Kamenev as a 'placeholder' for a prospect as the Leafs gave up two thirds in the trade to acquire him, although there were other parts involved as well.

Donskoi has looked real good the last two games. Compher would be the one I'd try to move.

Ottawa would probably move either Tierney or the 2nd to acquire Graves, but not both. I doubt Ottawa would want Donskoi with their RW set.

I doubt Toronto trades Campbell, he’s very well regarded there, and Toronto is a favourite here, and will need him.

Understandable, however I still think JT fits the Avs style better, he's just being asked to do what he isn't. I think we all worked out long ago that he's no centreman. Not sure why the Avs persist with it. There's also the idea of trading Donskoi while his stock is higher. That said it's possible Tierney and Donskoi could have some chemistry already as they were at SJ at the same time, no idea how much they played together though.

Yeah, seems to be that some would, some wouldn't on this version of the trade for OTT, but I'd be happy enough to go one for one Graves for Tierney as well. The Campbell trade is really just a case of who I'd like to seem them take a shot at, even if they have to overpay a touch, but I agree TOR probably wouldn't go for it.

Donskoi's hot start aside, given the cap situation I'd guess that both Donskoi and Compher have negative values. Ottawa is allergic to paying money, in any case. I could see a Graves-for-Tierney swap.
