Pierre LeBrun said there is a solid chance Nashville listens to offers on Ekholm, he has a year left after this season with no NMC. His price is around what LA Got for Martinez last year + Oilers need help on defense.

I scratched Kyle Turris because he gives me depression.

Raanta is going to cost more than that. Ekholm holds more value than Martinez, and I really like Martinez.

Acquiring Jones still leaves NSH with four defensemen they'd need to protect in expansion. None of the rest of it is enticing enough to make NSH want to downgrade from Ekholm to Jones.

If Nashville takes that trade absolutely. Who do you have for your defence exposure though? They would have to keep Russell. Edmonton isn’t trading Barrie unless they miss the playoffs. They are going to see if they can afford to resign him or move on from him.
