Description
Colorado Trade: The Avs pick up Eric Staal as an upgrade at 3C for their cup run, sending back a lesser 3C in JT Compher. With Francouz on LTIR, they need a goalie for the present. They send the injured Francouz to the Sabres for Carter Hutton, who is available to spell Grubauer for the cup run and should improve behind the Avs defense. Tyson Jost, who needs a change of scenery is sent to Buffalo as well. Could flip the pick depending on value.

Boston Trade: Another deadline deal sees Boston pick up Taylor Hall for less than what Arizona paid. The Sabres supposedly wanted to select Beecher directly after the Bruins pick, so they get him here despite unimpressive results at the college level.

Florida Trade: A change of scenery trade for all involved. Pilut and Borgstrom have left their respective teams to play overseas, Mittelstadt and Priskie have been unable to crack their teams roster.

Obviously not a professional GM, thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Pass, Bruins need a top4 LD more than another winger and it appears Hall could re-sign.

Ava pass on that. Jost doesn’t need a change of scenery he is seriously taken it up a notch defensively and is their best bottom 6 forward and pker right now. Something centered around Staal and Compher and not getting it all convoluted would work better, plus I think there are some better options at goal than Hutton.

Why do you think Jost needs "a change of scenery"?

He's been extremely good in his role this season, having been our best PKer and being elite defensively albeit in a 4th line role, while earning basically league minimum. Bednar and fans a like are really happy with him.

Hutton is not the solution to the Avs backup position. If he's brought in to be the No.3 until Francouz is back then that's fine, but moving Francouz out for Hutton isn't a good move.

Either take 2 pieces out from Colorado's side, or add something of note on Buffalo's side.

Any other bruins prospects that would interest you? Given that their top two centers are older, i kind of doubt they would trade a first, second, and one of their top center prospects.

I also have to believe they value the picks and beecher more than the money. If they wanted Hall, they could have signed him.
