I saw a trade similar to this online but it didn't include the fourth going to Florida. It also had this package plus a second coming back to Nashville. I doubt Florida would do this, but I think Nashville would be all over it if they did.

I get that Ekholm is very good and on a reasonable contract, but Lundell and a 1st may be too much, especially considering Florida's performance in 21/22 is a question mark

I agree with you. I don't think Florida does it. I just saw the idea here: https://www.ontheforecheck.com/2021/2/22/22294487/nashville-predators-trade-rumor-mattias-ekholm-philadelphia-flyers-boston-bruins-carolina-hurricanes

I agree that return on Ekholm seems a little high. Granlund too, I think. A late 1st isn't unthinkable for Granlund, with the retention and a 4th added, but BOS has arguably the worst prospect pool in the NHL - giving up a 1st may be a little rich for them, for a player like Granlund. Maybe a conditional 2nd that becomes a 1st if BOS reaches the finals?

EDM doesn't have the cap space for Arvidsson.

EDIT: I think you adjusted the EDM proposal while I was typing. That solves their cap problem, but with Neal added, I don't know if the extra 2nd is compensation enough.

I meant to put "to anywhere" on the Granlund trade so I will fix that. I'm not really sure of Arvidsson's value around the league, so I meant to change it to be more like Arvidsson for Holloway and the 2nd, and then a 1st for taking Neal.

Lundell is nearly a Kaapo Kakko level prospect who unluckily ended up in a historically loaded draft class and I honestly still dunno why he didn't go ~ 6th 😐

They're eerily similar

NHLe, trajectory, talent, even their style, stature, both from south west Finland, both 2001 birthyears... anyhow Lundell going 12th is very misleading
