Description
Would Sabre fans be open to this idea? Also imagine everyone in this trade was 100% healthy. And if it's not fair for either side what would even it out? Also figure sending Reilly allows Buffalo to sell him off for additional picks/prospects(Probably worth a 1st and another high end prospect). Which increases the value of the trade for Buffalo.

And does this roster make the leafs harder to play against well maintaining the scoring threat Leafs currently have?

No. I don’t really understand why people think Dahlin is going to be traded. Sure he’s struggled in his 2 and 3rd year, but he’s still only 20.

Toronto fans need to stop with the terrible dahlin trades. He's not anywhere close to being available, especially for the terrible packages that are being offered

This offer is an insult. For starters Buffalo isn’t sending you any picks in the trade. If Dahlin is getting traded it’s not in the division.

Let's break down the deal since its such a poor attempt at a trade idea.

If we go 1-1 for each player in the deal
Ullmark for Anderson is pretty much straight up 1-1 since Buffalo ownership would probably like the idea of saving real money (Anderson only owed 1 million of his 5m cap hit)
1st rounder for Taylor Hall is a gross over payment for someone who has 8million cap hit and has 2(or is it 3gs now) Basically paying for what he might do with good players around him.

and Now the part I'm taking most Sabre fans have issue with. Dahlin is not worth more than Morgan Rielly. (You might ask why even make the trade!) In order to open up cap space to do other things we need to part ways with a defensemen and to me Rielly gets you the most.

So if the deal was Robertson and Rielly for Dahlin I think Sabre fans shouldn't be so quick to dismiss this trade as it gives you another asset to trade that is probably worth more since he has 2 yrs left and is a PROVEN 70pt defender. (As nice as it is to be in the honeymoon phase with a player it's been 3 years and Dahlin is trending downwards in player progress regardless if it's team management messing that up or the player it doesn't mean that it will start trending upwards any time soon. I would sell high on everyone on the Sabres roster at this point cause your team is in for a long and rough road ahead and it won't lead to current players being any more valuable.

This deal benefits both teams, and maybe picks going back to the Leafs is a bit much, but the factor mid range picks for a team that has no scouts do you no good, and it help with the over payment with robertson being in the deal with the 1st.

Also everyone is free to view things the way they like...I'm not saying I'm right. Cause of the end of the day we all view and value our team higher than others, and usually this is where we see lopsided trades in the NHL cause on GM sees things differently then another. So again just cause I see it thing way doesn't make it true. My question was what would it take, but you are so angry with your team that you can't even have a discussion about it. You'd rather be insulted and politely tell me to stuck it lol.

Furthermore we are not in the same division, and we may not be for next year either, and from what I have read there could be a chance the North becomes a mainstay going forward. I hope not, but anything is better than Tampa and Boston in the first round each year...
