Kase was once a great goal scorer but has struggled badly with injuries the last 3 years making his value drop. I think the Oilers should take a chance on Kase and hope he stays healthey because if he does this could be a steal for the Oilers.

Edmonton frees up valuable cap space

Detroit takes on a horrible Neal contract to get mores picks and Tyler Benson who gets a fresh start and more oppurtunity. Detroit has really no big contracts (besides Vrana) to sign in the next 2 years so taking on Neals contract doesn't hurt too much and they have other bad contracts expiring so it really doesn't affect them at all.

Edmonton again frees up valuable cap space

It looks like Kassians tenure in Edmonton has come to an end and there has been reports that the Rangers are actually interested in Kassian. The Rangers get some much needed grit to the team for a late round pick and it doesn't hurt them cap wise too much because when all their big contracts are expiring you can just but him out or trade him somewhere else.
