Trades
1.
EDM
  1. 2021 6th round pick (SJS)
Additional Details:
*Oilers clear cap from trading a useless player*
SJS
  1. Turris, Kyle
Additional Details:
*San Jose has cap space and a lot of expiring contracts in the bottom 6 so Turris just fills a roster spot and giving up a late round doesn't hurt at all*
2.
EDM
  1. Kase, Ondrej [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
*PRE EXPANSION*
Kase was once a great goal scorer but has struggled badly with injuries the last 3 years making his value drop. I think the Oilers should take a chance on Kase and hope he stays healthey because if he does this could be a steal for the Oilers.
*Kase signs 1 Year 1 Million Dollar Extension*
BOS
  1. Lagesson, William
  2. 2021 4th round pick (EDM)
  3. 2021 6th round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
Boston recieves 2 late round picks and a young depth defenseman for Kase who was unlikely going to stay in Boston

    4.
    EDM
    1. 2021 6th round pick (DET)
    2. 2022 4th round pick (VGK)
    Additional Details:
Edmonton frees up valuable cap space
    DET
    1. Benson, Tyler [RFA Rights]
    2. Neal, James
    3. 2022 2nd round pick (EDM)
    4. 2022 3rd round pick (EDM)
    Additional Details:
Detroit takes on a horrible Neal contract to get mores picks and Tyler Benson who gets a fresh start and more oppurtunity. Detroit has really no big contracts (besides Vrana) to sign in the next 2 years so taking on Neals contract doesn't hurt too much and they have other bad contracts expiring so it really doesn't affect them at all.
    5.
    EDM
    1. 2022 5th round pick (NYR)
    Additional Details:
Edmonton again frees up valuable cap space
    NYR
    1. Kassian, Zack
    Additional Details:
It looks like Kassians tenure in Edmonton has come to an end and there has been reports that the Rangers are actually interested in Kassian. The Rangers get some much needed grit to the team for a late round pick and it doesn't hurt them cap wise too much because when all their big contracts are expiring you can just but him out or trade him somewhere else.

a few years ago he was on a 35 goal pace until he got injured. Oblivously he hasn't proved to be a "great goal scorer" i should have said good goal scorer lol

Just because Detroit has cap space doesn’t mean Edmonton will get a discount.
