Description

Hate to trade with the enemy LOL but it works.

Both D are due a pay raise, Chairot will get between 4-5m and brings defense to the leafs and physicality, poehling a good prospect and a late 1st round pick

Montreal gets an offensive d-man to replace weber and probably looking for 7-8m for his next contract

Every trade involving Kerfoot seems to have the value i posted or less. Most habs fans want dvorack, me included but Kerfoot would be cheaper to acquire, and 1m less on the books and brings a very similar skill set.

the leafs have zero need or want for Chariot and a late 1st and middling prospect dont get you Rielly.
And the leafs arnt moving Kerfoot unless they get a legit 3C back

Actually I don’t hate this deal. Leafs get a defender back in the trade. Pick would need to be a 22 1st. Poehling would be a good project.

As far as Rielly trades goes this isn’t bad. But they would never trade him in division. It’s a fair offer for kerfoot. Not sure that dubas would be interested though.
