Description

The Perrson deal is so he signs in Anaheim and it’s only two years so don’t freak out about that. A similar contract could be offered to Forsberg and Burakovsky if they reject their long term commitment contracts that I gave them. I think Dostal may be ready, but if he isn’t, sign a starter in the cage with him to get a tandem going. There are lots of other players that will be RFAs that are middle six guys. I didn’t sign them here bc they just have so many. Maybe try to package them to try and get a good player

Gibson for Byram and first and more

No way the Ducks sign Manson that long at that price
Lindholm: looks like a good deal
Burakovsky: probably gets more
Forsberg: I don’t know
Perron: no thank you at 8 million
Greiss: I guess i don’t know

Wright is 1C with McTavish on his left side
Zegras is 2C with Comtois on his left side
Steel probably replaced by BOG or Perreault

But all of that is just my opinion

Thats way more than I would be willing to pay, Gibson used to be great but hes been well below average the past couple years (-7.4GSAX last year and -18.0GSAX the year before). Hes like a less extreme version of Price - smaller cap hit and lower ceiling but somehow hes worth Byram?

COL isn’t trading Byram. Gibson has been stuck on a bad team but his sv%, scSV%, and hdSV% have dropped for 3 consecutive years throw in last year when he got to play a disproportionate amount of games against teams that seriously struggled to score and it is a bit concerning.

I would not be comfortable with those Manson and Burakovsky contracts.
Ducks have a bright future though.
