With bonuses the Rangers would be over the cap which means less cap next season.

Would rather give up 1sts over prospects.

I mean, Jones might have played himself on to the do-not-trade-for-an-injured-player list.

Jones
Pajuniemi
Georgiev
1st

Based on inure reports, maybe add another 1st. But it’s getting to the point where Buffalo is going to have to retain to get what I just posted.

Doubt the Sabres accept this little...
Othmann and Schneider are nice good pieces for the deal but an AHL forward in Kravtsov and a 2nd doesn't get anywhere near the difference left.

Jones is a common piece that rangers fans wanna trade, so is georgiev. Neither piece is of interest. Even if jones is a swell prospect, the sabres dont need left d, like even a little, its the one position where they are all set. Goalies dont have the value that people like to assign, like what does georgiev return, by himself, on the open market. The sabres already have goalie prospects. They need higher end forward prospects. It doesnt matter, hes not getting moved until hes healthy, its clear that what the sabres need isnt being offered and their best bet is to hold on to him until hes healthy, not just take some grab bag of stuff that another team is perfectly fine with giving away.
