Why would the Jets want to trade Scheifle, I’ve seen this crop up a few times here?

There is no reason for Winnipeg to sell Scheifele and Copp at such a discount. The first and Lafreniere are a good start, but Kravtsov and Chytil aren't needed by the Jets and don't carry much value.

If the Jets retain on Stastny, they should get more than a 3rd.

The Jets have no need for another LD, so there is no reason for the Jets to overpay for Chychrun.

We here in Colorado would love to see Stastny back here for a cup run. He's responsible defensively, can score goals, isn't expecting to be a top-6, great 3rd liner but can move up, and can play PP2 and penalty kill. We accept.

Some fans feel like he isn't playing good enough defence and he had a slow ramp up after he had COVID earlier this season so he's off his point per game pace at the moment.

We suddenly have 2 top line caliber centers so people miss having that hole on our team and for some reason are desparite to create it again with no plan on how to fill it for the long term other than to hope that Perfetti can.

I'd want that package for Scheifele alone, nevermind including Copp as well. We'd be better off retaining 50% on him and trading him to the Avs for Justin Barron or their 2023 1st.

Seriously though, for a while Scheif was trending like he was going to be a top 10 player in the NHL and this season he likely wouldn't have even made team Canada as one of the 14 best canadian born forwards. So people are thinking if we should consider trading him as we have PLD to take over at 1C if we do. But PLD isn't signed long term and Perfetti hasn't played a single second at C in the NHL so IMO it is way too soon for that sort of talk.

I'd be happy with Stastny purely as a 4C addition, but it would be a bit underwhelming if that's the only forward addition. Not sure he has the speed left to play Bednar's system either, and we already saw how that can go with the Soderberg and Nemeth experiment last deadline.
