Hawks aren't going to take on Pettersson's and McGinn's contracts in my opinion as they offer little value to a retooling young team with the holes they would potentially plug already filled. As such, 1 late 1st, 2nd and 7th just isn't enough to take on $6.75M of cap for players not needed.

This trade is beyond abysmal for the Pens. This is such an overpayment I have no words.

No I think your mistaken, thats a large commitment of salary for guys not needed. Sure the picks are good and valuable but would set us back even further with the cap ramifications.

Bad move for both sides TBH.
