Might wanna prepare for all the angry LAK fans. Like, would you trade Ryan Miller in 2012 for a package like that--but instead of us being bad, we're starting to be good again? He's as, if not more, enshrined with LA fans as Miller was for us.

I think Manson gets more money somewhere else. Fine by me, I don't think he's a good fit and he takes tons of penalties. I think KA trades for an RHD he really wants--as he seems to identify players he really wants and goes after them (see Levi & Krebs)--or we just re-sign Pysyk and roll with him as Power's partner.

Yup, that about sums it up for the LA-Quick thing. Thanks for covering that in place of us Kings fans.

Quickie will likely retire an LA King at the end of next year. And in the meantime he's giving us solid numbers as a good 1A/1B tandem with Peterson.

Here's the math regarding Jonathan Quick:

WITH our current #1 goalie on the books for next season, we have $21 million in cap space and 16 roster slots taken. Our only significantly expensive RFAs to re-sign are Kempe, Anderson and Durzi. Assuming that they aggregate $13 million (and will probably cost less), that leaves $8 million to spread amongst the last 4 players. Bottom line: there is no cap urgency even suggesting that we should trade Quick.

Honestly, if Quick keeps up his current pace of play, I could see him signing on for another one-year contract after this one expires.
