I think the isles trade is alittle Rich for their taste. They’d probably want to keep one of mayfield or the first. But at that point the jackets wouldn’t have much use for the trade.

Agreed. The Isles could certainly use those 3, but at the same time none are worth a lotto pick to them (IMO).

If I'm the Isles, I'd probably consider moving Mayfield for pick(s) and or prospect(s), but I don't think you move him, along with a lotto pick, and a 2nd (and Bellows...meh...) unless it's a package for a solid upgrade.

Isles trade just doesn't fit Lamoriello's MO at all. Bermstrom & Texier have great potential but if they're trading out Mayfield *and* top picks, they're going to be looking for more established talent, like Gavrikov or Roslovic (not saying that those guys are options to be traded, just illustrating the level of player Lou would be looking for if trading his biggest assets).

I mean, I'll roll the dice on a Monahan rebound; but that is a lot of cap/ salary to take on for a prayer. Ergo, why I did the pick-swap.

Again, this was a trade I actually saw once or twice a few weeks back, so I'm just cribbing from another NYI fan who put it together.

I'd be willing to take out Mayfield. I'm hoping CBJ are able to get Zadorov or Gustafsson in UFA. Plus, that 2022 is *technically* a lotto pick, but it's also likely in No Man's Land (i.e. 12-16).

Either way, appreciate the feedback!
