Trades
1.
SEA
  1. Kravtsov, Vitali [RFA Rights]
  2. Nemeth, Patrik
Additional Details:
Take on Cap Dump in Nemeth, send back a guy who can maybe be a solid 4th liner, but get back a prospect who hasn’t done much so far, but has great potential and has been shopped greatly by NYR
NYR
  1. Lind, Kole [RFA Rights]
2.
SEA
  1. Monahan, Sean
  2. Zavgorodny, Dmitri
  3. 2023 1st round pick (CGY)
  4. 2023 4th round pick (CGY)
Additional Details:
A half solid prospect, a 4th, and a 1st rounder to take on Monahan’s contract and also giving up a replacement middle 6 Centerman who has solid offensive capabilities and has also displayed good defensive numbers
3.
SEA
  1. Myers, Philippe
  2. 2022 3rd round pick (NSH)
Additional Details:
A 3rd for taking on a cap dump of a 1x2.5. Seattle gives up a replacement 6/7D man and a depth pick. Myers can potentially rebound in a new system, hasn’t worked out at all in NSH
NSH
  1. Borgen, William
  2. 2022 6th round pick (SEA)
4.
SEA
  1. 2022 2nd round pick (WSH)
DET
  1. Fleury, Haydn [RFA Rights]
  2. 2023 5th round pick (SEA)
Additional Details:
A Later 2nd round pick in exchange for a talented d man who is defensively responsible. Immediately steps in as the best LD on Detroit for the time being. While his offensive results are extremely meh, his defence is solid, and the potential is there for him to grow. Should be a good partner for Seider for the time being. At worst, he’s a 3LD for as long as Detroit wants him, but he can develop more if given a legit top 4 chance like he would in Detroit
5.
SEA
ANA
  1. Cholowski, Dennis [RFA Rights]
  2. Fleury, Cale [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Both either traded for depth picks or released into UFA. Not particularly young and have been waiver guys this year
6.
SEA
  1. Liljegren, Timothy [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
This is an offersheet, I just put it as a trade so that I could explain my thoughts
TOR
  1. 2023 2nd round pick (SEA)
Additional Details:
As a Leafs fan, I love Liljegren. He’s shown a ton of promise and at worst should be a 2RD of the future, but he has top pair potential. I don’t want Seattle or any team to offersheet him, but I think Seattle should offersheet him as Toronto can’t afford to keep him if his cap hit is high for next year. An early 2nd round pick for next year has a lot of value; but Lily has quite a bit more, and this can be a steal practically
7.
SEA
  1. McDonough, Aidan [Reserve List]
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
I chose Vancouver as Larsson would be an amazing partner for Hughes for the next couple years, and in this trade Vancouver could acquire him without moving a major piece. This sets Vancouver up to make a playoff run next year (which they seem interested in doing since they held onto a lot of their forwards which they could have sold)
VAN
  1. Larsson, Adam
Additional Details:
A great DFD on a meh contract, teams will still be heavily interested in getting a guy like him for their 2nd pair. This return is roughly equal to the value Brendan Dillon got last offseason, a player comparable and contract comparable to Larsson
8.
SEA
  1. 2022 1st round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
Rental D Man on a cheap contract, can be their Savard again. Versatile, mainly a DFD but posts solid offensive results as well
TBL
  1. Soucy, Carson ($1,375,000 retained)
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (NSH)
Additional Details:
Move up about 20-25 spots this draft for a bottom 4 d man
9.
SEA
  1. 2023 3rd round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Potential 2C for Boston who is half retained and only costs a 3rd could work out brilliantly for them if Monahan pays off. Seattle gets a pick for money as this was a part of a 3-way trade from when Seattle got Monahan (forgot to mention)
BOS
  1. Monahan, Sean ($3,187,500 retained)
10.
SEA
  1. 2024 3rd round pick (DAL)
DAL
  1. Donskoi, Joonas ($1,900,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Last Trade, a struggling bottom 6er for only 2M to whatever team is interested in him for a 3rd. He hasn’t fit in for Seattle; but is due for improvement elsewhere

Props with all the work and effort you put into this.
Some of the trades are slightly in favour of SEA i think.

I think you are too high on Liljegren. 4.15mil is an overpay plus you lose the 2nd pick. I dont think hes top pairing material either. You could honestly sign his teammate Lyubushkin for half that cost and save yourself the 2nd.

The key to SEA success will be to avoid any stupid overpay contracts.
Draft and develop those 22-23 draft picks and once those picks start contributing at the NHL level, use that cap space to sign the big ticket players to put them over the top.
In those 23 1st-4th round picks in 22-23 they are bound to hit at least 5-6 really solid NHLers.

I assumed that would be what would be said. I think Reilly is a better option, but I think Fleury could be a very solid fit for them tbh. Fleury could still be a good 2LD for the long term, and he’ll only be able to hit that potential in Detroit. Maybe instead of the 2nd for Fleury and a depth pick, it’s just a 3rd for Fleury
