Best of luck to the best Captain the Kings have had. Dude has given his heart and soul to the team and the city. I hope they find a comfy place in management for Brownie as soon as he wants it.

Never really a true superstar, but he was great for a long time, and to have such a long career speaks volumes. The fact that he was able to revive his career the way he did is remarkable. Most players who fall off like he did in the mid 2010s don't come back.

He'd probably have to take a significant pay cut from his current $4M salary to return next season, and would be playing in a significantly reduced role (4th line/healthy scratch). He's already reached the promised land, so I'm sure he wants to retire with some dignity after one more shot in the postseason.
