Description

Would NJD make a deal surrounding these two players? Holtz has high potential, but maybe they dont feel like they have the time to wait for it to be fullfilled. Fiala offers Top line scoring right away but at a premium price. The pros is that hes still Young and that it would make perfect sense to lock him up for all his prime years. Yall understad Minnesotas perspective. A Young (high potential) scorer that could provide good scoring while on his ELC. Would line up perfectly with the dead cap.

NJ should shut this down very quickly. Why would they not have the time to wait for holtz? Jack is like 21, luke isn't even in the NHL yet, and they were terrible last year. No need to rush it

I think it's pretty fair as a straight up trade being honest. Potential for maximum buyers remorse for the Devils so not sure they'd pull the trigger, but it is a fair deal.

Holtz won’t be on the table. We have a ton of young players and prospects to offer…but Luke Hughes and Alex Holtz won’t be involved.

Zacha, Tatar, Johnsson, Foote, Boqvist, Zetterlund, Gritsyuk, Stillman, Thompson, Clarke, etc. Take your choice along with any non-top-10 draft picks.

Certainly any non playoff team is giving up two picks for a one year rental (Dumba)

Might be fair deal for Fiala, but if I'm New Jersey,,,maybe signing Gaudreau for 10m (or another good UFA) and keeping ELC Holtz makes more sense.
But getting no cap for a signed Fiala is diminishes trade value as there are few teams in the can do that do. Sens and Devils seem like the best trade partners.
