Description
No one is going to waive their NTC...Vlasic and Mrazek might to DAL, but I can't see Seguin waiving for SJ. But if that problem wasn't there, I think this is a good three-way trade:

Toronto saves 1.6 in cap and gets a...commodious defenseman at the cost of a young guy with upside who they've apparently soured on (as he's not getting enough ice time). Dallas takes on a bit more cap over the next two years, saves cap over the next two years, and then is off with nothing in year five. They also cut loose a guy who has overstayed his welcome. San Jose gets younger on D and does take on a worse contract, but also gets rid of a guy that everyone has just soured on. The third-for-Dahlen I see as a fair swap; he's not getting a fair shake in San Jose.

Reasons for not doing the trade: Toronto might prefer paying a higher price to trade Mrazek's entire contract, and maybe they're just being very patient with Sandin. For Dallas, Seguin is a better player and (slightly) better value than Vlasic; he's also much younger. For San Jose, Seguin might rock a fragile boat, and his contract is a year longer; losing Simek makes the Sharks much softer on D unless Knyzhov, who was sidelined for the year with injury, makes a full recovery.

How is that any good for Dallas? They go from one overpaid player to two really bad overpaid players a lnd a mediocre roster player. Seguin may not be with his money but he still put up 24 goals on a very defensive minded team. They also have 5 left handed defencemen signed for next year who are all better than Vlasic.

Also that's really bad for Toronto too. They will dump Mrazek but not at the cost of Sandin.

Sandin didnt get ice time because he was hurt, and even if the leafs had soured on him (they havent) that doesnt get close to getting him

Both of these trades aren't good for DAL or TOR. Toronto isn't giving up Sandin just to dump Mrazek, and DAL isn't going to take on two ****ty contracts for one

This is probably the worst non-troll AGM I've seen this year.

You're giving a 7th D for a great prospect and a injury stricken goalie...and you're giving the worst contract in the league and the injury stricken goalie for a 50 point center.
