Gibson was Interviewed by The Athletic's Eric Stephens and said the following

"All of the rumours yesterday are false because I havent had a conversation with anyone there (ANA FO), none of that is true"

When asked directly if he wants a trade "No I want to win in Anaheim, I've been here and I'm happy"

"I think in the Summertime you always see rumours and all that, it doesnt really bother me. I wanted to let it be known that it's not true, When I signed my extension in Anaheim however many years ago, I said I'd be honoured to play in the same city and be a part of the same organization my whole career, I STILL HAVE ALL MY INTENTIONS OF DOING THAT"

So can we please stop pretending he wants out, or that the Ducks are going to trade him just because a team offers a late first and a mediocre prospect

But pretending a player wants out is more fun, man.

Just as fun as pretending Gibson is bad but still proceeding to trade for him 20 times an hour tears of joy

when really it would show a team 100% believes he is the long term solution in net and would be paying with that in mind

So Jeremy Bracco 2.0, a late first and Mrazek doesnt even get ANA on the phone tears of joy

I think the best one that I read yesterday was "BREAKING: John Gibson might be traded. I’m also being told he might not be. It’s because he hates it in Anaheim, but he also likes it and is just fine hanging through the rebuild. But he doesn’t want to play during a rebuild.", which was followed by a comparison to Mike Smith with "Who would you rather have? If it’s true he’s gifted but not as competitive, vs. The Un-gifted “battler”."

Appreciate the effort but unfortunately people will probably make more Gibson trades now. Just like everyone saying strome won't be qualified so they get him for free

The golden rule of CF, trash a player to lower his value then trade for him, its fool proof tears of joy

The ""BREAKING: John Gibson might be traded. I’m also being told he might not be. It’s because he hates it in Anaheim, but he also likes it and is just fine hanging through the rebuild. But he doesn’t want to play during a rebuild." was hilarious tears of joy
