Retaining 2,410,000 for 8 years wouldn't be even in question if it wasn't for Shane Wright. I don't know if I'd actually do this, but that's really interesting.

Signing Phillip Danault to a 6-year deal has turned out to be Rob Blake's best move as GM so far. And inasmuch as Danault has even exceeded expectations, we won't be trading him back to you except in the unlikely circumstance that you change the first-round pick you'd be giving us.
