Description
1. Seattle improves their middle six, Vancouver adds annual AAV, reduces term and gets a pick for the discrepancy in ability of the players involved.
2. Inexpensive energy forward for a late pick, could go to any team looking to fill out the bottom of their roster.
3. Flyers are a bit of a dark horse for JT, however the fit is there as no rebuild is apparently on the horizon. JT extends and thrives under Torts. Vancouver gets a young roster player who has plateaued, a young RD and the 1st that brings them Hughes future partner.
4. Vegas gets significant cap relief and a young cost controlled forward. Vancouver adds Roy (who fits nicely in their bottom 6) and picks. Brossoit can be kept to compete for the backup or added in another trade.
5. NJ adds a big RD to improve now, with little long term financial risk. Could go FA route, but $$ and term will be an issue for a similar/better D in a weak RD class. Dipietro gives them a young goalie that should be backing up next year, Brossoit backs up (Campbell?) this year, if they move on from Blackwood. Zacha seems to be on the outs in NJ, not really sure on his value as his numbers seem unremarkable, but he has been connected to Vancouver.
6. Boston has expressed interest in Garland previously and the Canucks have had some interest in DeBrusk. Boston gets arguably the better player and gets rid of a headache, Vancouver gets a decent pick and a bit of a reclamation project who may do well under Boudreau.

Pearson isn't a cap dump, Donskoi is. That is selling way too low on Pearson

Highmore isn't being traded

Not sure Philly does that deal, but I'd be cool with it if they accepted

Don't mind the Vegas trade

Not sure the Devils do that, value is pretty close I'd say

Bruins trade looks fair, but I still wouldn't deal away Garland like that

Devils could just trade Zacha for Vanecek and not deal with the Myers contract

Every time a Canucks fan suggests Philly trade 5OA for Miller, Gritty clips an angels wings with garden shears.

That's an easy no from the Devils even if Zacha was removed from it. I'm glad that Myers had a better season for you guys last year, he'd still be a 6m, 3rd pairing Dman in NJ. Brossoit isn't a capable backup even if he was cheaper. And DiPietro would be lucky to play in Utica next year, as it's unlikely he beats out Daws and Schmid. This is all just bad cap and a prospect that the Devils don't need.

Really good idea with the Pearson/Donskoi swap. That's exactly the type of trade Vancouver should be looking for imo - get rid of Pearson, Dickinson, and Poolman by looking for guys on worse AAV but 1 year term remaining.
