Description
For teams taking cap dumps but minimizing real cash spent Voracek is the cheapest option between him and Gus. Gus gets paid 5 mil for this year (no signing bonus paid) Voracek only gets paid 1.25 mil this year (5 mil signing bonus already paid) then 7.5 next year. We would most likely still need to add to ship Voracek out but I think it gives us more room to make more moves if we need to and to extend gavi past this season.

Now, maybe Jarmo has a new direction for this team now that the curveball of the best FA to hit the market since Panarin wanted to sign with us? Could he trade for a 1C? We have the prospects to get a trade done... maybe Hintz? Lindholm? I know it would take a ton to get either of these guys but Calgary may blow it up soon?

a good LD prospect (we have many LD prospects so losing one isn't the end of the world) and a 2nd should get someone to take Voracek

From a Ducks perspective, I don't know...I feel like doing that huge of a favour for the Jackets has got to cost more. Voracek had a very nice season, but he also doesn't fit the timeline, so there's gotta be a guaranteed future player in there, which I don't think this is. Svozil isn't a bad prospect, but if the option was 1 year of Patches gets you Coghlan, vs. 2 years of Voracek gets you this, I would have taken option A 10 times out of 10.

Yeah I don't know if every GM hates Vegas so doing anything for them is frowned upon or if that even matters. But, taking cap dumps doesn't really matter when your window is, it's just taking assets to help a future window open up. Could probs add a forward prospect as well I guess to help sweeten the deal. Feel like cap dumps are the hardest things to price. Petr Mrázek (3.8 mil) cost Toronto going down 13 spots in the draft while vegas dumping decent players (Patches and Dadonov) costs basically nothing, which Voracek is a decent player and mentor.

Personally I don't think we go Hintz. He's Roslovic surrounded by better teammates. He needed Robertson and Pavelski or he was just a zone entry, chance and out type player.

Lindholm would be a perfect fit and worth giving up quite a lot for. Not sure we really have what those teams want though.

Tell me you haven't watched a single Stars game without saying you haven't watched a single Stars game.
