Keep in mind this is just my opinion don’t be a just comment what you would do differently I love to hear everyone’s thoughts
For the ducks, I don’t think Klingberg contract is bad it is more that they don’t really have any bad contracts
, same with Carolina, colorado, red wings, Kings, Wild, blues, Tampa
Chiarot for Wings, no idea how you got to Bertuzzi. Blues is Leddy (I know someone will vouch for him but he just sucks), Islanders is Bailey, Seattle is Grubauer, Kings would be Doughty before Kopitar, not sure for Tampa but it isnt perry. he is very solid. Probably would have to go Phillipe Myers.
Carolina - Skjei or Gardiner... burns might hurt later on
Detroit- Chariot will be a stinger later on
Colorado- Johnson right now and i don't see nichuskin's contract aging well
Kings- That is an easy one neither doughty or Kopitar are worth their contract anymore. Kopi probably 2-2.5 mill overpaid but doughty is about 3-4 mill overpaid, peterson contract is questionable same with danault if he doesn't repeat his 21-22 season production
Wild- are actually pretty safe outside of their buyouts. i think spurgeron should be solid till maybe the last year of his deal
Blues- have quite a few long term bad contracts that won't age well, Brayden Schenn/ Torey Krug/ Justin Faulk/ Colton Parayko(questionable)/ Nick Leddy/ Jordan Binnington(lost the job to husso but recovered during PO's)/ Scandella alot of those contracts take them till their mid to later 30's where they will not be worth it and may cause salary issues when they need to re-sign some of their upcoming younger players.
Tampa- Paul isn't bad money wise but i don't like the thought of giving depth guys more then 3-4 years. Vasi isn't bad but personally i don't like to pay goalies more then 7 mill at most.
Sergachev's contract will be a disaster he shouldn't even be close to making Makar/Mcavoy/Josi/Fox/Heiskanen money. Cernak is a slight overpay him and carlo are very similiar dmen and carlo just signed for 1.1 mill less which isn't a big deal but for a cap strapped team every dollar counts.
Canes isn’t Skjei by any means. Gardiner is very inconvenient, and with his injury history, makes his the worst contract. Burns for what he provides, especially with a likely career revival, will probably me more than worth it. And I have heard for Staal as well, and what he doesn’t do offensively, he makes up for tenfold with his defensive capabilities, faceoff abilities, and leadership.
