Description
Saw it on reddit so obviously taken with a grain of salt but never the less its interesting.
Maybe there is no pick involved in the Montreal trade. It's hard to judge.
I explained the Vegas situation. I'd love to keep TVR because he is drastically underrated for his role.
Hawks use the all of the picks they have to move up in the draft.

Could run a 21 man roster most of the year to save space for deadline and stay below cap.

Additional Details:
Vegas has power but the Hawks could easily trade TVR to someone else so Vegas HAS to take Kruger. In this situation Vegas gets two very decent roster players instead of one overpaid 3-4C

Pacioretty a 35-goal scorer; for Panarin a 30-goal scorer.
Galchenyuk a 20-30-goal scorer with a lot more potential; for Anisimov a 20-goal scorer at the tail end of his career

I don't see how this makes sense for Montreal. Also note that Galchenyuk is looking at a contract closer to 5-6M.

I'm surprised by MTL fans by this. I see your 35 goals vs 30 goals and raise you 151 points vs 131 points. MTL also pretty desperately needs another big centerman that'll be the two way responsible (and net front presence) player so Drouin and Panarin can just score goals. I do think Chicago wins the trade talent wise, but MTL wins the trade in hockey sense and is a better team with this trade.

***This may also make it easier to resign ARad. I'm sure he'd love to play next to those two!***
