The point is that I don’t know how far off the values are, just went with what I could see happening if a deal with those types of pieces were done, and extra pieces could be added to deals either way, these just being the rough frames. No need to be sour

Trading Nylander+Niemela for Robertson doesn't make much sense for the Leafs, Niemela has potential to be a top RHD which is something that the Leafs have been trying to get for so long. While having Matthews saves the Leafs from needing a player like Robertson. It's better to have guys who have different skill sets and styles if you are going to be limited. Nylander's cap hit will likely be lower than Robertson's for the next 2 year at least which is also beneficial, would at least give the Leafs a standing chance of resigning Bunting.

Getting JRob I think would cement our offence as probably the best in the league. JRob with Tavares on the 2nd line would give us a 2nd line with a bonafide top 15 player at their position who is only getting better. Robertson rn I think is a good bit better than Nylander but the huge part of the deal is getting a younger player locked down for years. Nylander would likely leave in 2 years time and JRob would have tons of term + get to play with his brother

There's no reason for Vancouver to trade Garland for Kerfoot. Upgrading a 4th to a 2nd doesn't come close to the difference in value of the 2 players.
