2023 1st round pick (completely unprotected). Or 2024 1st round pick (unprotected) and Caufield.

The likelihood of Montreal fans saying yes to either of those trades is indicative of how likely the Kings are to trade Clarke.

I mean, what's your thought process? "Hmm they'll need to get rid of one, it's obviously going to be their emerging star player who has the best chance of replacing Doughty and has a much higher ceiling than any of their other prospects! Yup, that sounds right!"

Not sure why the Kings would want to trade Clarke at all. They're just as likely to trade him as Montreal is to trade Slafkovsky.

I made this trade in 2024-2025 so you can't have a 2023 or 2024 pick.

Then, i chose him because he's the youngest and the less likely to already be in the rotation. My bad if i didn't understand his level of importance to the organization.

So, is there a legit top 4 offensive d-men that could be bought with a similar package that you'd be ready to let go?

Clarke comes with some concerns as a prospect. I wouldn't be giving up significant assets for him until he works out his skating and transition play.

would you go for someone else in their prospect pool?
