I'd do it if I was Chevy but the Jets don't want to retain apparently though they might of "leaked" that cause there really wasn't much interest in Wheeler.

They will have to make other moves to fit him in and keep him, but I think they are better off with trying to acquire Tarasenko or even Patrick Kane via trade. Or go for a temporary fix in a rental like Drouin, Monahan, or JVR, and see if they can acquire Tarasenko, Kane, or Pastrnak (if he doesn't get signed) in FA.

Wheeler is better then beau, but the isles need that cap space more than they need him. He’s not a true #1 winger, which is what the isles need.

Best target would be Meier imo. Probably costs Beau, Wally and a first + to make it happen.
