Post TDL outlook:

Give Kent the center to the top line but only with Gaudreau and maybe Chinny on the right? Move Laine down to his preferred position of LW and give him a Center in Jack who is Right-handed to set his snipes up to see how it works.

See how some of the young guys can play, Sit Olivier and other players who don't fit into our future plans

Off-season Outlook:

Would like to trade Elvis + Picks/forward prospects for a better Dman, maybe even a top/middle paring RD if possible... Any ideas?

This probs a rebuilding team for another season after this one unless we get Bedard and he is as advertised to pick this team up... still leaves the defense in shambles unless big moves are made.

I like Gavrikov, but that's too much for a rental defensemen who could easily end up on the 3rd pair. LHD isn't a need for NJ.

I would be really surprised if Devils moved a 1st for a rental. And Fitzgeralds comments to an ESPN reporter earlier this week suggested he isn’t adding any rentals.

(I guess is possible they could extend him, but with Hughes, Nemec on their way and Severson and Graves to possibly extend, not sure where he would fit in).
