the entire point of the leafs trading for a guy like Meier is so they have another good scoring option in the top 6 and to push guys like jarnkrok and kerfoot tothe 3rd line so they can have more depth.
This just puts them in the exact same place with a worse cap situation next year

If the Sens wanted an expensive guy who doesn't play much defence and scores 80+ points a season...we would just sign DeBrincat.

Nylander isn't tough.? I always laugh at the intelligence of so many hockey fans who think a player is tougher who. "can't stickhandle, so he throws the puck in the offensive zone, and then has to hit a player in order to try to retrieve the same puck, the player had possession of three second earlier." Seems like the tougher and better player is the one that can stickhandle, keep possession of the puck as opponents try to hit him." Oh well, Don Cherry's terminational of toughness has been ingrained in so many hockey fans.
