I think it's fair value, I think a move that make this a little more interesting (to me at least) is swapping out Philippe Myers for Vlad Namestinkov. I believe the cap should work (Isles have room to retain if need be but: $1.12M in space on this ACGM + $1.425M of buried Myers hit = $2.545M of space; Namestinkov is a $2.5M AAV) and this means Tampa keeps a useful player for their bottom 6, gets the guys they want, and the Isles get a potential Scott Mayfield replacement - use the last 20 or so games to audition Myers as RD3, or let him spend the rest of his year in Bridgeport. Brent Thompson can't do a thing to develop a forward but he turns random scrubs into strong defensemen constantly - maybe some time with him will make Myers an affordable RD3 next year.

He hasn’t done anything wrong with the forwards he has had in Bridgeport. He just hasn’t had any to develop. Closest thing to a good prospect that went thru Bridgeport when he was bench boss were Beau for a short stint and Verhaeghe….

I’m down with this. Foote can play third pair minutes.
