Many of the deals we have been seeing are similar to (and sometimes more than) Jack Eichel or Rick Nash returns. So, if people want to use those as upper-limit bookends, I wouldn't stop them.
If there are other suggestions that you feel fit, list them below.
Trades
1.
NJD
Kevin Fiala 2022
If done at or near 2023 draft with an extension in place. If done before deadline, add either 2024 1st or lesser prospect and 2nd.
SJS
Mukhamadullin, Shakir
2023 1st round pick
2.
NJD
Alex Debrincat 2022
If Grier wants picks only. Debrincat was done at 2022 draft, this is for 2023 deadline. Debrincat had an extra year on deal, which makes up for the difference in picks.
(*Note* this is also roughly the offer-sheet comp amount for a playing making roughly $8m)
This is the case if Meier wants to chose where he gets dealt (by saying he will only sign there). Its unlikely it gets to this, but should be considering one bookend.
SJS
Casey, Seamus
Johnsson, Andreas
2023 2nd round pick (NJD)
There's a mile of difference between 7OA and what, around 24th that will be the NJ 23? If you take Timo full freight, and don't send any dead cap back the other way, maybe on the grounds that Debrincat had a full season at his previous contract, is a bit younger, and would be considered the better player you could pull it off, but I would imagine its more like the 23 1st and 2nd, plus the 24 2nd.

Maybe so. But I think DeBrincats age, the extra year on the bridge, the value of 2022 picks vs 2023 picks, and Meier’s contract situations are all factors.
If that's the case then I don't see Grier moving him.
GMMG can't afford to lose a Meier trade with a depleting fanbase and the Sharks owner having the mentality to get back to the playoffs asap.
Timo's agent said the possibility of staying in SJ is still very real. And if this is the return, I see Timo staying.
A late 1st and an average defense prospect is not remotely close.
Timo is the more impactful player than Debrincat. He's on pace for a career year and 40+ goals. Grier has offered teams to talk extension to avoid the QO. Debrincat returned 7oa and 39th oa. You're offering around 24-25 oa and a decent, if not average defense prospect. So yeah this is a little lite. Timo is a power forward and those typically return more especially for playoff bound teams and NJ would be getting Timo for an extra playoff whereas Debrincat was acquired in the off-season.
Also, Seravalli is a bit of a dope. He's the dope that said Grier wanted three 1sts for Karlsson which Grier quickly squashed.

Jersey got
- a mid 1st
- a mid 3rd
- an aging bottom 6 prospect
- an aging AHL prospect
- an underperforming recent late first round pick
For Taylor Hall right after his Hart season… and with the other comparables, SJ isn’t getting a haul. There is no comparable where SJ gets an absurd about of players or prospects like I’ve seen, where the closest comparable is the Tkachuk trade and Meier has no where near that value

NJ got Dawson Mercer and Kevin Bahl.
How is Meier nowhere near Tkachuk? They're very comparable. And Timo takes far, far less pims. Silly comment.
