Detroit isn’t very deep up front this offseason. I could see them in on Sharangovich, as well as the Blues. He’d slot onto a teams second line, capable of potting 20 goals, and is an effective penalty killer. He’s going to be entering his prime and will sign anywhere between 2.75-3.5 M AAV. Would have gone in the 1st round in 2018 if a redraft occurred.

Framework of this mock trade is based on Romanov to NYI. I think they are around the same level. Walsh is a throw in piece who could 3RD.

I think the main issues this offseason for the Devils will be finding a 3C if Haula goes for too much.

My other targets are: Henrique, Pageau, Kampf and Bourque (from the Stars).

With the mock acquired first round pick in 2023, they can draft one of many centers available or a LW and further stash the pool and get an impact player down the line.

Same reason for Graves. Find someone who can replace Graves if he leaves and goes elsewhere. I like Grizz, but it doesn’t have to be him.

Fair point. I just don’t see how big of a package Grizz will return, especially since Boston is cap crunched. One of Griz, Carlo, Forbort will have to unfortunately be moved. I like Forbort as well. Maybe he’ll be worth the package I put forth. I used the Marino trade as my basis fwiw.

Sorry but I doubt the red wings would be interested in that package. It's alot of mediocre for a really good pick. I like Sharangovich but he isn't worth a first from Detroit.

Detroit don't need left shooting wingers, if he had been a right shooter and scored twice as much as he does it would have been of interest but not as it is.

Well if the Islanders 1st is the 14th, 15th or 16th pick it doesn't go to Detroit. They only way Detroit gets that pick is if the Islanders make the playoffs.
